Engineering & Performance

Built For Every British Season

A pergola that only earns its keep in July isn't doing its job. Every OutdoorHavens frame is engineered to genuine wind and snow load ratings, confirmed by our manufacturer — here's what that means for how you'll actually use it, month to month.

How It Performs, Season By Season

❄️
Autumn & Winter

This is where the wind and snow ratings actually matter. Every frame is tested to withstand sustained gales — Essential up to 180 km/h, Signature and Prestige up to 220 km/h — and carries confirmed snow load capacity, so it's built to stay put through the worst a UK winter throws at it, not just look good in the brochure photos.

🌱
Spring

A frame that's been engineered to a genuine structural rating doesn't need "reopening" for the season — there's nothing to repair or reinforce after winter. The same motorised louvres that sealed the space in January simply open back up.

☀️
Summer

The season it's easiest to picture — full shade control, open-air entertaining, zip screens for glare and privacy. The structural engineering that gets the least attention in summer is the same engineering doing the work all year round.
